A Free Course on Abiogenesis from Dr. James Tour
In a rather humorous attack on Dr. Tour, a man who calls himself as Professor Dave released a video claiming to “elucidate” Dr. Tour’s agenda. This agenda, Dave claims, is to use his respected status as a chemist to misrepresent the scientific literature, which serves as a means to deceive people into believing abiogenesis is not possible. Unfortunately for Dave, calling Dr. Tour a liar puts him in the difficult position of refuting all of his relevant scientific claims.
This is where the hilarity ensues. Professor Dave starts to make many magnificent assertions claiming that the problems and paradoxes in the origin of life field have been either solved or were never a problem to begin with. He does this with nearly all the major areas, including synthesis, bonding, homochirality, stability, purity, information, and assembly. It’s truly astounding! I’ll attach the full video so you can see it for yourself, but since Dr. Tour shows the most relevant parts throughout his series, I have put it at the bottom. If you have the time to spare, I recommend watching it.
In his rebuttals, Dr. Tour broke up his series into 14 parts, 15 if you count lesson 12’s two part segment. I have attached each below. The beginning portion of each can be skipped since it is just Dr. Tour restating the reasons why he made the series. Enjoy!
